Our team is seeking an Android Developer who has a passion for merging the creativity of design with the technical skills of programming, to contribute to our POS and mobile app development projects.
Responsibilities:
- Develop the code that runs the applications we design, making good use of all the latest APIs
- Support the design of the architecture of the Android application
- Release the app when all the features for the release have been developed
- Keep up-to-date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms
- Monitor the app post-release to ensure that it is working as expected
- Be part of the growing mobile development team and bring mobile apps to the next level
- Quickly capture the key product characteristics and business model
- Adapt to a fast-growing environment, requiring to hold on to your commitments, work with limited supervision and deliver on time
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of proven hands-on Android development experience (Java, Android OS, Android SDK and Android UI design principles as well as coding patterns and best practices) throughout the whole development lifecycle.
- Strong experience of Kotlin and/or Java.
- Solid Experience with version control systems (i.e. Github, Azure Devops, GitLab,TFS)
- Experience in software architect role with integration/functional/UI Automation testing & background in mobile application security
- Any fintech/payments background will be considered as an asset
- Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle and Jetpack components
- Experience using RESTful APIs, as well as agile methodologies and version control systems
- Developed ability in managing time, energy and responsibilities
- Fluency in English.
